AURELIAN considers how each diamond performs in the piece it is chosen for.
The 4Cs
- Cut: Proportions, symmetry and polish that influence light performance.
- Colour: For D-to-Z diamonds, the relative absence of colour.
- Clarity: Internal inclusions and surface blemishes.
- Carat weight: Weight, not physical diameter.
Carat and visible size
Approximate round brilliant diameters: 0.50 ct - 5.1 mm; 1.00 ct - 6.4-6.5 mm; 1.50 ct - 7.3-7.4 mm; 2.00 ct - 8.1-8.2 mm; 3.00 ct - 9.3-9.4 mm. We can source up to to 22 carats in stones. Fancy shapes vary; use the report measurements.
Beyond the 4Cs
We also assess shape, table and depth, measurements, proportions, symmetry, fluorescence, treatments, origin and the laboratory report. The exact GIA or IGI report, where applicable, is confirmed before purchase.
